Dr. Bateson checks in with a quick tally of precipitation in our area.
Says the Doctor, “I measured only .42 inches of moisture from this latest storm. That brings us to a grand total of 1.33 inches of precipitation since July first, which is only 36% of average.”
According to Bateson if this trend continues, it will be the driest year on record since 1980. The year 1987 was also a dry year at only 38% of average.
