Our resident meteorological expert, Dr. Owen Bateson, has moisture totals for the month of January.
According to Bateson, “We had 3.65 inches of precipitation during January, which is 125% of average. That brings us to 5.03 inches for the year since July first.”
The storm which brought us rain and snow at the end of January helped bring us up from 13% of average to 42% of average just in one weekend.
