Dream It, Be It: Soroptimists Offering Career Support for Herlong Area Girls

This Saturday, February 24th, the Susanville chapter of Soroptimists International will be offering a special career workshop for girls in the Herlong area. The Dream it, Be it Program for Teens will be held in the Fort Sage Resource Center from 10:00a.m. to 2:00p.m., with room for only 20 participants.

The four hour workshop will feature speakers focused on helping attendees successfully navigate through circumstances that might hold them back from a successful career.

The topics covered include career opportunities, setting and achieving goals, overcoming obstacles to success and how to move forward after setbacks or failures.

Free lunch will also be served along with a chance for participants to win a $100 gift card.

The Soroptimist organization’s Dream It, Be It: Career Support for Girls is designed to help girls grow up to be strong, successful, happy adults, targeting girls in secondary school who face obstacles to their future success. It provides girls with access to professional role models, career education and the resources to live their dreams.
