Election 2019: Ballots for August 27th Special Primary Are In The Mail

Vote-by-Mail Ballots and Sample Ballots with a Voter Information Guides for the August 27th, Assembly District 1 Special Primary Election have been mailed according to Lassen County Clerk Julie Bustamante.

Voters who have not received their Vote-by-Mail Ballot or the Sample Ballot are encouraged to contact the Clerk’s office at 251-8217. The US Postal Service will not forward election materials and you will not receive them if the clerk’s office does not have your current address.

The last day to register to vote for this election is Monday, August 12th.

Voters should check the back of their Sample Ballot and Voter Information Guide for polling location.

A tear-out application for a Vote-by-Mail Ballot is included on the back cover, which should be returned to the County Clerk’s office by Tuesday August 20th.

You may mail or bring your ballot to the County Clerk’s office in the Historic Courthouse, at 220 South Lassen Street, Suite 5, Susanville, CA 96130.

Office hours are from 9:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. and 1:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

If you mail your ballot it must be postmarked by August 27th, Election Day, and received by the clerk no more than three days after the election. A new Ballot Drop Box is available in the driveway behind the Historic Courthouse next to the Old Jail and can be used anytime up to 8:00p.m. on Election Day.
