A residential structure fire in the area of County Road A3 and Cummings Road that destroyed a home Sunday was attributed to an electrical problem according to details released today by the Janesville Fire Protection District.
Firefighters from the JFPD were dispatched to the fire at around 2:00p.m., arriving to find the structure fully invloved.
“Fire crews performed a defensive operation from the exterior of the structure to protect adjacent structures,” explains JFPD Chief Dustin Leef.
“The cause of the fire was investigated and determined to be caused by faulty electrical equipment.”
There were no firefighter or civilian injuries. The JFPD was supported by CCC, Cal-FIRE, Milford Fire nd the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office.
