On August 21st, shortly before 2:00p.m., the Susanville Fire Department’s Truck One responded to a residential structure fire located in the 300 block of Park Street, arriving on the scene to find a fully involved structure with exposures threatened.
“Firefighters quickly deployed hose lines and began an aggressive fire attack, successfully containing the fire to the building of origin,” explains SFD Fire Captain Leon Myers.
“Following the fire, an investigation was conducted which determined that the fire was accidental and found to be electrical in nature.”
According to Myers no firefighter or civilian injuries were reported on this incident.
The Susanville Fire Department was supported by the Susanville Police Department, Susanville Public Works, Cal-Fire, OES and Susan River Fire.
