Calling all young soccer players in Lassen County! Lassen Elite FC is officially looking for motivated athletes to join their ranks for the upcoming 2026 Fall Season. If your child is ready to challenge themselves in a competitive yet supportive environment, now is the time to lace up those cleats and be a part of the team.
Under the leadership of Head Coach Ben Wade and assistant coaches Jordan Guess and Mike DeBlois, Lassen Elite FC is building more than just a team – they are building a long-term development program. Coach Wade is no stranger to developing winning programs, and that momentum has carried directly into Lassen Elite FC’s recent performances in the Great Basin Youth Soccer League in Reno.
“We played in the league last fall, where Lassen Elite FC went undefeated and won the league,” says Coach Wade. After a dominant fall and an active spring season, the club is looking to raise the bar even higher, with Wade noting that they hope to move into the Gold Competitive league this fall.
The upcoming tryouts are open to boys ages 8 to 10 of all skill levels. The sessions will take place over two days during the team’s normal practice time at Riverside Park in Susanville. Prospective players should head to the park on Tuesday, April 14th, and Thursday, April 16th, from 4:00 to 5:30p.m. To be fully prepared, athletes should come ready to play with their soccer cleats, shin guards, a water bottle, and a positive, competitive attitude.
The club’s mission is to provide local players with year-round practice and competition, helping them grow together from youth play all the way to the college level. A unique benefit of this program is that it maintains flexibility for families; players are still allowed to play in their local leagues if they choose, while benefiting from the elite skill development and team continuity offered by the FC staff.
