Eleven Correctional Deputies graduated from the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office Correctional Officer Core Course in a ceremony held Friday afternoon at the Adult Detention Facility on Sheriff Cady Lane.
Two of the the deputies graduating the program are from the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office, and the other nine work for Lassen County.
“The Core Course is a five week training program that covers a wide range of topics related to local corrections,” explains Lassen County Sheriff Dean Growdon, “and it meets the mandated training standards for local correctional deputies.”
“We are proud of their success, and look forward to having them back in the jail supporting the mission of the Sheriff’s Office.”
