Annual Community Blood Drive

Vitalant is asking Susanville residents to roll up their sleeves and make a lifesaving difference this winter. With critical shortages often occurring around the holidays and the New Year, the community is being asked to come together to help replenish the supply.
The Need is Constant
Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. That statistic represents real people—it could be a little girl in the ICU, an accident victim, or a mother battling Stage 3 leukemia. Your single donation can save up to three lives.
If you’ve never donated because you’re worried about needles, put those fears aside! Most blood donors compare the experience to nothing more than a mild, split-second pinch. The entire process is very safe, very fast, and you will walk away feeling amazing knowing you have directly impacted the lives of others.
The annual January community drive will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 905 Richmond Road on Tuesday, January 20th, from 12:00p.m. to 5:30p.m. and Wednesday, January 21st, from 8:30a.m. to 12:30p.m.
How to Schedule Your Appointment
Walk-ins are always welcomed, but appointments are encouraged to get you in and out faster. You can book your spot by calling the blood donor desk at 1.775.329.6451 or by visiting Donors.Vitalant.org and entering Blood Drive Code: N1940
Remember to eat a hearty meal and hydrate well before your appointment, and don’t forget to bring your photo ID.
