Lassen Claybreakers Hosting Invitational Competition at Rice Canyon Range

The Lassen Claybreakers will host an Invitational Trapshoot competition at the Sierra Sportsman’s Rice Canyon Range on Saturday, May 9th, and whether you’re a seasoned marksman or just curious to see what the sport is all about, the team invites you to come out for a day filled with friendly competition, great food and plenty of prizes.
The morning kicks off with check-in at 8:00a.m., followed by an Annie Oakley warm-up shoot at 8:30 to get everyone in the zone before the official competition begins at 9:00.
Participants can choose to build their own five-person squad or sign up as an individual. For adults, the entry fee is $40 per person or $200 for a full squad, while junior rates are discounted to $30 per person or $150 per squad.
All registration fees conveniently include a BBQ lunch, though the organizers ask that squads pre-register via email to ensure they have an accurate headcount.
Beyond the main event, the day is packed with extra activities and chances to win big. You can try your luck at the 50/50 drawing or “Spin the Wheel” for an opportunity to take home items from the prize tables.
There will also be Annie Oakley shoots available for mixed groups, ladies, and juniors as time permits, featuring a “split the pot” format.
Even if you aren’t planning to compete, you are more than welcome to stop by to meet the team and grab a meal. The BBQ menu features a $10 cheeseburger or hamburger plate served with beans, chips, and a drink or you can opt for plain or loaded nachos for just $5.
If you have any questions or are ready to secure your spot, reach out to the team at [email protected] or send them a message through Facebook.
