Lassen Humane Society’s Barktoberfest

The Lassen Humane Society will be hosting their fun-filled Barktoberfest event on Saturday, October 18th, from 11:00a.m. to 3:00p.m.

This exciting event is hosted by Lassen Ale Works The Boardroom, located at 702-000 Johnstonville Road.

“We desperately want to continue bringing spay and neuter funding to our community, so please join us for this day of fundraising and fun!” the group posted on Facebook.

The day kicks off with a Pet Adoption event, running from 11:00a.m. to 1:00p.m., where you can meet wonderful animals from the Lassen County Animal Shelter who are hoping to find their forever homes.

For the active crowd, join our Poker Run for a $20 entry fee.

For your furry friends, we’ll have several Dog Games for a $5 entry each. The competitions include a Treat Catching Contest from 11:30a.m. to 11:45a.m., a Sit Stay Contest from 12:00p.m. to 12:15p.m., and a hilarious Plate Licking Contest from 12:30p.m. to 12:45p.m.

Later, show off your pet’s skills in the Talent Show from 1:00p.m. to 1:15p.m., followed by the Costume Contest from 1:30p.m. to 1:45p.m.

The afternoon wraps up with Bingo from 2:00p.m. to 3:00p.m. – purchase a card for just $5 for lots of chances to win amazing prizes. You can also enjoy vendors, music and games throughout the day.
