Safe and Sane Uptown Halloween Celebration

Children are invited to come and ‘Trick or Treat’ at businesses throughout uptown and Main Street will be closed to thru traffic for the safety of all the kids.
From 3:30 until 5:30 uptown businesses will be passing out candy and there will be lots of fun activities for the kids, including a costume contest!
Whether you are dressing up as a superhero, a ghoul, a goblin or a fairy princess, you could win some neat prizes just for stopping by Pancera Plaza between 4:00 and 4:30 and entering the free contest.
New this year, Margie’s will host Story Time and, in conjunction with Lassen Public Health, a sensory room with quieter, less intense Halloween fun.
From 3:30 to 7:00 there will be games and activities in the LMUD parking lot, brought to you by the Lassen County Office of Education.
Fun prizes, from sponsors like Margie’s Book Nook, will be awarded in a variety of age groups and categories and Miss Lassen and her court will be there to help.
Always popular, last year’s contest featured more than one hundred fantastic entries.
Even the pets have their own costume contest, which will be held in the LMUD parking lot at the corner of Main and Gay Streets.
The big uptown party will feature music by a DJ and dance performances by Joan’s Studio of Dance and the New Image Racquetball and Fitness Gymnastics team.
