Susanville Indian Rancheria 17th Annual Pow Wow

The Susanville Indian Rancheria is set to host its 17th Annual Pow Wow during the second weekend of July, bringing a celebration of Native American culture, song and dance to the Lassen County Fairgrounds. Scheduled for July 10th through July 12th, the event is open to the general public and offers a family-friendly, drug and alcohol-free environment for the entire community.
The weekend’s festivities will be anchored by four spectacular Grand Entry performances. The first Grand Entry kicks off the event on Friday, July 10th at 7:00p.m. Saturday will feature two sessions, with entries at 1:00p.m. and 7:00p.m., before the Pow Wow concludes on Sunday with a final Grand Entry at 1:00p.m.
This year’s celebration features a distinguished lineup of head staff. Attendees can look forward to a wide array of special contests and exhibitions throughout the weekend. Competitions will include the Men’s Fast & Fancy, a Chicken Dance versus Round Bustle face-off, and the Jim Chapman Special.
