Tour a section of the Modoc Line Rail Trail

September 28, 1:00- 4:00 is an opportunity to tour a section of the Modoc Line Rail Trail with experts and learn about the railroad, lumber, and ranching history of the area and leave equipped also with place names of the mountain ranges, rocks, and surrounding sage-steppe desert.  Lassen Land and Trails Trust, in partnership with BLM and the Nevada California Oregon Railroad Society, is offering a point-to-point guided tour of the Snowstorm section of the Modoc Line Rail Trail.  This event welcomes OHV users (side-by-side’ers and high clearance vehicles) and others willing to pile into a LLTT “tour van”. Cyclists are also welcome, though the trail is powdery and hard to ride. Enjoy the majestic landscape viewed from this rails-to-trails success story.
