Fall Colors Reaching Their Peak Along Bizz Johnson Trail

photos by Jeff Fontana

Recent rains and clearing weather have created excellent conditions for fall outings on the Bizz Johnson National Recreation Trail between Susanville and the Devil’s Corral Trailhead 7-miles east of town.

According to Bureau of Land Management Public Affairs Officer Jeff Fontana, the trail surface is nicely packed, with no dust. Fall colors are peaking along the Susan River.

The trail is accessible from the Lassen Street, Miller Road and Hobo Camp trailheads in Susanville.
