Famed Cowboy Singer Songwriter to Perform in Susanville January 14th

Renowned cowboy singer, songwriter Dave Stamey is coming to Susanville for one night only Sunday, January 14th, at the Monticola Club starting at 6:00p.m.

Stamey is legendary in cowboy music and has been a cowboy, a mule packer, a dude wrangler and is one of the most popular western entertainers working today.

Among his other accomplishments Stamey is now the newest member of the Western Music Hall of Fame, Cowboys and Indians magazine has called him “the Charley Russell of Western Music,” and Western Horseman magazine has declared his “Vaquero Song” to be one of the greatest western songs of all time.

In 2010, 2011 and 2013 TrueWest Magazine named him “Best Living Western Solo Musician,” he received the Will Rogers Award from the Academy of Western Artists and the Western Music Association has named him Entertainer of the Year seven times. The group has also named him Male Performer of the Year and Songwriter of the Year several times.

The January 14th concert is co-sponsored by the Thompson Peak Writer’s Workshop, as part of its ongoing “Words and Music” series, and Susanville Sunrise Rotary.

Rotary will offer a no-host bar at the event and the Thompson Peak Writer’s Workshop will offer free snacks, and books by local authors, broadsheets will be on sale.

Tickets are $20 in advance and available at Lassen Ale Works at the Pioneer Saloon or Margie’s Book Nook.Unsold tickets may be available at the door.
