Family to Family: 12-Week Class Helps Families Deal With Mental Illness

Northeastern Rural Health Clinics has partnered with Lassen County Behavioral Health and Lassen Aurora Network to offer a very special opportunity for local residents.

NAMI Family to Family Education Program is a series of 12 weekly classes structured to help family members, partners, caregivers, and friends understand and support individuals with mental illnesses while maintaining their own well-being. There is no cost to participate in the NAMI Family-to Family course.

It is an evidenced based program designed to significantly improve the coping and problem solving abilities of the people closest to an individual living with a mental health condition.

The sessions begins on Monday, March 5th, and go thru May 21st. Meetings will be held every Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:30p.m., at Northeastern Health Center, 1850 Spring Ridge Drive in Susanville (across from Banner Lassen Medical Center).

Advanced registration is required, so call now to find out more and reserve your seat.

Call Health Educator, Debbie Jones at 251-1490 at Northeastern Health Center or call Cathy Dirden of NAMI Lassen at 251-5560.
