Job seekers in Lassen, Plumas and Sierra counties will have a prime opportunity to connect with regional employers next month as Feather River College, in partnership with the Alliance for Workforce Development, hosts the third annual Feather River College Student and Community Job Fair.
The in-person event is scheduled for Thursday, March 5th, from 12:00p.m. to 3:00p.m. at the Feather River College gym, located at 570 Golden Eagle Avenue in Quincy.
According to AFWD Business Services Manager James Cox, this free event serves as a vital bridge between the workforce and local industry, offering a unique, one-stop location for college students and community members alike to engage with a wide variety of employers.
Attendees can expect to interact directly with hiring managers to discuss a broad range of possibilities, including full-time career positions, part-time roles, and seasonal summer opportunities.
The fair features a diverse array of industries central to our region. Last year’s event saw over 40 employers in attendance, and this year’s list continues to expand with organizations representing sectors such as education, tourism, and recreation.
Natural resources and forestry will also have a strong presence, with major employers like the U.S. Forest Service and Sierra Pacific Industries scheduled to participate.
Feather River College and AFWD encourage all participants to arrive dressed professionally and to bring multiple copies of their resume to ensure they are prepared to make lasting employment connections.
