The Alliance for Workforce Development will be featuring ‘Careers in Corrections’ as the focus of their monthly Career Café, at the Lassen Business and Career Network on February 28th from 3:00 to 5:00p.m.
The guest speaker at the workshop will be Anthony Lane, Associate Warden, Business Services at High Desert State Prison.
Also in attendance will be representatives from plant operations, food services, custody, CalPIA and the substance abuse program.
The Career Cafe is an informal opportunity for job seekers, career changers, and any interested individuals to learn about themselves, careers and 21st century workplace skills while enjoying coffee and snacks.
Alliance for Workforce Development staff will be on hand to provide help to job seekers with online job applications.
The organization holds a Career Cafe once a month, with each Café featuring new information and activities and a career focus for the community.
