The National Weather Service is calling for critical fire weather conditions this weekend for portions of Northern California.
The fire weather watch is in effect through Monday morning for gusty northeast winds and low humidity.
Drying north to east winds will lower fuel moisture to near or below seasonal averages over the weekend. Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Though burn restrictions have been lifted in the Lassen-Modoc Unit, outdoor burning this weekend is not recommended.
