The Lassen Fire Safe Council is soliciting bids from qualified Timber Operators to perform mechanical forest fuels reduction work and mechanical forest restoration work through mastication treatments on over 2,000 acres of private forest lands. The project area is the Susanville and Janesville areas.
According to the Fire Safe Council, project implementation is expected throughout 2025 and will involve mastication work in burned and unburned stands for site preparation and hazardous fuels reduction.
Sealed bids will be received in person at the Lassen Fire Safe Council office at 1825 Main Street Susanville, CA 96130, or by mail at PO Box 816 Susanville, CA 96130 or via email at [email protected]. Bids are due by Wednesday, January 15th, 2025, at 5:00p.m.
LFSC will evaluate competitive offers submitted by offerors who present a price offer according to the information found in the bid package. Bids will be accepted from contractors who demonstrate an ability to successfully complete the scope of work being bid and have valid required insurance and licensing in effect at the time of bid submission.
