Lassen Community College and head baseball coach Frank Avilla announced this week that five players from the 2015 Cougar squad have signed letters of intent to play at university level this fall. On Wednesday all five players gathered with coaches, friends and family to sign their commitment letters. Good job guys!
Eric Skogseth, Class of 2015, has committed to Sterling College in Sterling, KS. Skogseth is from White City, OR and was a Two-Time GVC All-Conference Player for the Cougars.
Jarrell Cunningham, Class of 2015, has signed with York College in York, Nebraska. Cunningham is from Susanville, CA and was a GVC 1st Team All-Conference Pitcher for the Cougars in 2015. He was also a member of the GVC All-Academic Team.
Justin Spinner, Class of 2015, has committed to Western Oregon University in Monmouth, OR near his hometown in Grants Pass, OR. Spinner was on the All-State Academic All-American Team and was a member of the GVC All-Academic Team.
Donald Wanner, from the LCC Class of 2015, has signed to The University of Texas of the Permian Basin in Odessa, TX. Wanner is from Lovelock, NV and was a GVC All-Conference Pitcher for the Cougars in 2015. He was also on the All-State Academic All-American Team and was a member of the GVC All-Academic Team.
Chase Dillon, Class of 2015, will also be headed to The University of Texas of the Permian Basin in Odessa, TX with teammate Donald Wanner. Dillon is from Klamath Falls, OR. He was a member of the GVC All-Academic Team.
Congratulations also to Justin Spinner, Colby Chavez and Donald Wanner on being named to the All-State Academic Team. Spinner had the highest GPA in the state with a 4.0.
