The Eagle Lake Ranger District of the Lassen National Forest is burning landing piles on the Cowbell thinning unit project west of Logan Mountain this week.
- Legal Location: T32N/9E/Sections 16 & 21
- Total acreage: 10 acres
- Ignition is planned: January 26 – January 30
- Duration of ignition: 3-5 days
- Dration of smoke production: 3-5 days
- Estimated direction of smoke travel: Varied depending on conditions that day.
- Communities or Smoke Sensitive Areas: The piles are located in a remote area and should not impact any communities or smoke sensitive areas. Smoke might be visible from Hwy 44 and county road A-1.
