Local family caregivers are invited to a Free Family Caregiver Event on Tuesday, September 23rd, from 2:00 to 4:00p.m. at Northeastern Rural Clinic, located at 1850 Spring Ridge Drive. The event is a free opportunity to gain valuable knowledge, find resources, and connect with other caregivers.
The event is offered by the PSA2 Area Agency on Aging and will feature presentations by Maggie McNamara and Kelsi Halvarson, who have over 35 years of combined experience working with and supporting family members caring for aging relatives.
Topics to be covered include:
“Planning for the Unexpected: What happens to my loved one if something happens to me?”
“Getting Organized and Reducing Stress.”
Attendees will receive a Caregiver Notebook, as well as books and planners, all at no cost. This event is a great chance to ask questions and learn how to be better prepared for the challenges of caregiving.
