From the California Highway Patrol: Age Well, Drive Smart

The Susanville Office of the CHP, in conjunction with the Lassen Indian Health Center, will be presenting the ‘Age Well, Drive Smart’ program for older drivers on Tuesday, March 27th.

The workshop is free of charge and will begin at 3:00p.m. in the Willow Room at the Diamond Mountain Casino.

According to CHP Officer Sam Glucklich changes in eyesight, medications and your health all affect your ability to drive and the CHP invites you to come discuss these subjects and explore ways to keep you driving safer and driving longer.

The program is designed for seniors and anyone experiencing physical changes that affect their driving.

The CHP’s mission is to provide the highest level of safety, service and security to the people of California. To that end, says the Agency, addressing older driver safety and mobility is a high priority.

Over the past six years, the department has placed emphasis on the roadway safety and mobility of California’s seniors. For questions and registration stop by or call Officer Sam Glucklich at the Susanville CHP Office.
