A SusanvilleStuff Photo Feature
by Marshel and Jeremy Couso
You could not have asked for better weather than the crisp, fall day we had Saturday for Lassen Land and Trails Trust’s annual Rails to Trails Festival held at the Historic Susanville Railroad depot.
The day-long centennial celebration featured handcar races, chili cook-off and a salsa competition, live vintage railroad music from Dakota Sid, with Travers Clifford and Homer Wills, Wild Horse Drive and Tim Keesey.
The members of the Lassen Historical Society’s Living History Troup portrayed notable historic figures and retold the story of the railroad coming to town in 1913.
