The 2015 American Cancer Society’s ‘Relay for Life’ was held at Lassen High School’s Arnold Field in Susanville Saturday and fundraiser participants worked hard through the afternoon heat, and later a torrential downpour, to raise money to aid the fight against cancer.
Ten teams took part in the annual event, raising $11,800, which, according to ACS spokesperson Debbie O’Connor, is all used to fund cancer research.
In addition to raising money the event also honors cancer survivors and pays tribute to the lives lost to the disease.
