Fans of Susanville’s annual Best of Broadway performances don’t have long to wait as more than 100 local singers and dancers, ranging in age from 5 to 67, get ready to light up the stage at the Veterans Memorial Hall on Main Street this weekend and next.
Best of Broadway Production Manager Lisa Bernard is excited about this year’s program. “It’s a great mix of humor and high drama with a lot of unexpected twists along the way,” said Bernard. “The show is designed to be fun and appropriate for the whole family to watch.”
The show, titled The Masquerade, will feature selections from Grease, Annie Get Your Gun, Jekyll & Hyde, Into the Woods, Aladdin, Phantom of the Opera, Spamalot and more!
“I can’t wait for people to hear some of our new soloists and cast members!” said Bernard. “We have some amazing new talent both on the stage and behind it making this one of our best productions ever.”
Performances are scheduled for this Friday and Saturday, March 6th and 7th, and again next weekend, March 13th and 14th at 7:00p.m. with Saturday afternoon matinee performances at 2:00 both weekends.
Tickets for Susanville Best of Broadway are $10 and are available at Margie’s Book Nook, Treats Dog Company and at the Lassen County Chamber of Commerce. Advance tickets purchased before the performance will allow the ticket holder special entrance through the side door.
