Gayle (Buck) Jerome Heard July 13, 1937 – October 6, 2014
Gayle was born on July 13, 1937 in Orland, CA to Fred and Blanche Heard and was the 11th of 17 children. He passed from earth on 10-6-14 to join those that went before him.
Gayle attended Janesville Elementary School and Lassen High School graduating in 1956. He worked for Collins Pine, Citizens Utilities, General and United Telephone, Western and Union Pacific Railroad and Lassen County Sheriffs Office before his retirement in 1992. Gayle enjoyed spending his time fishing the local lakes, tying jigs and helping his wife in the garden.
Gayle was preceded in death by his parents and 10 siblings, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Kenneth and Ora Auble. Survivors include his wife, Mildred, sons Marty, Mike (Kim) and Tom Heard, daughter Gail (Kevin) Morris, 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, brother-in-laws LeRoy (Charlotte) and Arnold Auble, 3 sisters, 1 brother, several nephews and nieces.
At Gayle’s request there will be no service and burial will be private.
