Calling all cyclists! The Almanor Recreation and Park District has announced that registration is now open for the iconic Mile High 100 Century Ride, taking place on Saturday, June 20th.
Now in its 42nd year, this beloved tradition invites riders to experience the breathtaking beauty of Lake Almanor, the surrounding Lassen National Forest and the mountain scenery.
Organizers promise this year will be better than ever, featuring freshly paved roads and wider, safer shoulders—particularly along the challenging Johnson Grade—following recent construction on Highway 36.
The ARPD is pulling out all the stops this year to ensure a top-tier experience. Participants can look forward to enhanced rider support, with additional rest stops positioned along the routes to keep you fueled and ready. Additionally, you can celebrate your accomplishment at the finish line with live music.

For those looking to participate, there are three distinct routes available. The Full Century route covers 102 miles with an elevation gain of 4,026 feet, taking cyclists through Domingo Spring, the Lake Almanor Basin, Westwood, and the Lassen National Forest. It begins at 7:00a.m. and costs $102.43.
The Metric Century offers a 68-mile ride with 2,804 feet of elevation gain, including a full loop around Lake Almanor, the historic town of Westwood, and the Lassen National Forest. This route starts at 8:00a.m. and costs $97.10.
Finally, the Half Metric Century provides a beautiful 33-mile loop around Lake Almanor. Featuring 1,145 feet of elevation gain and amazing views throughout, this route begins at 9:00a.m. and costs $86.45. Please note that all listed prices include applicable fees.
