halloweencarnivalThere are a lot of neat Halloween activities planned in Susanville and the surrounding areas this weekend – and even if rain or snow puts a damper on the traditional trick-or-treating there is plenty of indoor fun to keep the little ones occupied.

From 3:00 to 5:00p.m. on Friday the Historic Uptown Susanville Association present their Safe & Sane Halloween event. Click here to find out more about the uptown party.

The Center Stage Players will present A Haunted House Halloween night at 432 B Alexander Ave from 6:30 to 10:00p.m. You must be 16 or over to purchase a ticket.

Ticket prices are $3 for presale and $5 at the door. Due to the graphic and freighting nature of this display, anyone under 13 must to be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are on sale at Margie’s Book Nook, Verizon Wireless uptown Susanville (see Janelle Alward) and O’Riley’s Auto Parts (see Dave Alward) or call 310-3157.

At Walmart kids are invited to enjoy a safe trick-or-treat experience in all of the store’s departments from 4:00 to 7:00.

At the Honey Lake Grange in Johnstonville you can tour the spooky Haunted Hall! $5 donation per person.

Lassen College Basketball is holding their scary Frightmare Forest at 471-120 Richmond Road. $10 per person includes unlimited carnival and games.

Janesville School’s Halloween Carnival of Fun will be held this afternoon from 4:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. in the Janesville School Gymnasium.

Come out and play 20 plus games, visit the haunted pirate ship and have a caramel apple after your baked potato or pizza dinner!

Banner Lassen Medical Center is holding a fun trick or treat event from 3:00 to 5:00p.m. indoors so kids (and Mom and Dad) can stay warm and dry.

The Westwood area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring Trunk and Treat tonight from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. followed by a Halloween carnival from 6:00 to 8:00. There is also a haunted house at the Westwood fire department.
