Volunteers are needed for the City of Susanville’s big, upcoming Community Garden Weekend – a two-day event featuring cleaning, raking, building, digging, painting, irrigating, planting on April 28th and 29th.
Or, as organizers describe it, “Basically getting dirty and smiling!”
The essence of the new Community Garden, at 105 South Ash Street, is Susanville residents coming together to connect with, accomplish with and grow something healthy together. Volunteers are needed and you can spend as much time helping as you would like between the hours of 9:00a.m., and 5:00p.m., both Saturday and Sunday.
There is a lot of work to do to convert the City’s property into a fantastic growing opportunity and volunteers are already working to prepare for the first event by securing tools and materials.
