High Desert State Prison Warden Fred Foulk presented a $1,000 donation to Executive Director Louise Jensen of Lassen Land and Trails Trust last week.

The contribution is from the High Desert State Prison Charitable Fund which is generated from inmate fundraising activities throughout the year.

Lassen Land and Trails Trust’s focus is on: Conserving the region’s water, wildlife, and working landscapes; Developing, maintaining, and promoting our region’s world class trails for residents and visitors to enjoy – an important part of our region’s economic diversity; Educating residents and visitors about all that makes our home unique with a concerted effort in educating our youth and introducing them to a potential career path right here at home.

The donation will be used in developing the Lassen Creek Conservation Area.
