Smoke levels in the Susanville area have improved significantly over the weekend of August 25th-26th. Due to the current improvement, outdoor activities, events and competitive sports may resume as usual.
However, individuals should still take precautionary measures to avoid smoke exposure if you can see or smell smoke outside and sensitive individuals should avoid outdoor exertion until all smoke is no longer present.
Current air quality classifications can be found on the Lassen Air Pollution Control District’s website at www.lassenair.org.
