Helen Frances Pound (Schmitzer, Scarbrough) everyone called and knew her as Fran.
Passed away 7/14/2026 in Reno, NV in hospice care at Circle of Life age the young age of 71.
Originally born in Auburn, California on 4/6/1955. She married Don Schmitzer in 1977, having two children. She spent her life working in guest services. She loved her family and her church.
She was preceded in death by her mother Helen Inez Pruden, father George Monroe Pound, sister Carrel Ann Pound, brother Edward “Edie” Pound, and second husband Dennis Scarbrough.
She leaves behind her son Charles Schmitzer in Susanville, Ca., her daughter Cristina (Shaun) O’Neal in Hutchinson, KS. Two grand sons Johnathen and Robert Hardwick, plus three wonderful great grand daughters.
