The Historic Susanville Railroad Depot, a local historical landmark and home to the Visitor Center at the Bizz Johnson Trailhead, is officially open for the summer season, offering a unique opportunity to explore local history and outdoor recreation.
Located at 601 Richmond Road, here in Susanville, the depot’s expanded summer hours will continue through September 20th. Visitors can stop by on Fridays from 1:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. and on Saturdays from 8:00a.m. to 11:00a.m.
The Visitor Center provides a wealth of information for both locals and tourists, focusing on the renowned Bizz Johnson National Recreation Trail, various regional trails and camping opportunities, Susanville’s rich railroad and logging history and much more.
