There are plenty of things to do this weekend to get you into the Holiday Spirit. When it comes to celebrating the holidays Susanville isn’t lacking on festive events sure to get you in the mood!
Lassen County Fair, Craft Fair
This Friday, November 30th and Saturday, December 1st at the Lassen County Fairgrounds it’s the annual Holiday Craft Fair. This is a great place to go shopping for those unique Christmas gifts as more than 50 vendors display their holiday wares just for you.
Jensen Hall, the Commercial, Floral and Art buildings will all be filled to overflowing with handmade crafts.
There’s no end to the variety and you can find everything from pottery, jewelry and decorative paintings to gourmet Olive Oil, homemade BBQ sauces and Native American Shadow Boxes.
Year after year the Holiday Craft Fair has been a mecca for shoppers trying to find that perfect gift for a special someone on their list and Artisan crafters from all over the west coast will be in attendance.
Lassen Family Services will be at the fairgrounds holding their “Hobby Craft Fair” featuring handmade items created by inmates, with proceeds going to benefit victims of violent crimes.

Festival of Lights
All December long the Lassen County Fair will again be hosting its spectacular ‘Holiday Festival of Lights’ exhibition at the fairgrounds.
The holiday displays are built by different local groups, organizations and individuals for the public to drive through and ‘oooooh and ahhhhhhh’ at during the season.
Every year the light display gets bigger and the Justice family even organizes a spectacular display that is synchronized with music through a radio channel in your car.
Fair manager Jim Wolcott says, “It is just a great thing to do for the community and to see everyone come together and participate in.“
