Honey Lake Conservation District Seeking Applicants for Board Vacancy

The Honey Lake Valley Resource Conservation District is currently looking for a community-minded individual to fill an unscheduled vacancy on its Board of Directors.

Since 1954, the District has played a vital role in supporting the conservation, restoration, and stewardship of agricultural and natural resources throughout Lassen County. This is a unique opportunity for residents to take a leadership role in guiding local conservation policy and community outreach.

Who is Eligible?
To be considered for the position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a registered voter in the State of California.
  • Must reside within the District (Lassen County).
  • Must either own real property within the District or be a designated agent of a landowner.

Meeting Schedule
The Board of Directors meets at 3:30p.m. on the fourth Thursday of each month. Directors are officially appointed by the Lassen County Board of Supervisors.

How to Apply
Interested individuals must complete a Lassen County Application for Appointment to Boards, Committees, or Commissions. Completed applications should be returned to the Lassen County Clerk’s Office.

The current Board includes Jesse Claypool, Will Johnson, Laurie Tippin, and Robin Hanson.
