Susanville area teens are invited to celebrate summer with an evening of music, friends and island-themed fun at a free Hawaiian Luau Christian Teen Dance on Friday, July 10th.
The event will run from 8:00 to 11:00p.m. at the Outdoor Pavilion, located at 905 Richmond Road in Susanville. All Honey Lake Valley youth ages 14 through 18 are welcome to attend, which includes any teens turning 14 at any point during 2026.
Hosted by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the gathering is designed to provide local youth with a positive, high-energy place to hang out, meet new friends, enjoy great music and make lasting summer memories. Guests can look forward to full tropical décor, dancing, games and complimentary island refreshments.
Attendees are highly encouraged to embrace the island vibes by wearing casual Hawaiian attire. However, organizers note that while festive island wear is perfect for the theme, the dress code is strictly casual clothing and not swimwear.
This upcoming luau follows a highly successful spring “Soda Shop” themed dance that attracted nearly 100 local teens from throughout the Susanville area at the end of April. Organizers hope this island night will provide another excellent opportunity for youth from different schools, churches, and backgrounds to come together in a welcoming, safe and uplifting environment.
Admission to the event is completely free, and no prior registration is required. Click here to visit the official event page on Facebook.
