Humane Society Holding Big Annual Garage Sale This Weekend and Next

Bargain hunters from all over the valley will head to the Lassen Humane Society’s big annual fundraising Garage Sale, held the next two weekends, to help raise funds for the puppies and kitties, while getting great deals on a lot of neat items.

The big yearly yard sale features items contributed by local donors – yard sale hours will be 9:00a.m. until 3:00p.m. on October 17th, 18th, 19th, 24th, 25th and 26th.

All six days of the sale are being held at Sierra Desert Properties, 613 Main Street, in uptown Susanville.

Come on up to the sale and find tons of clothing, an entire kitchen’s worth of appliances and cookware, working flat screen TVs, a cool guitar, a working Playstation 4, controllers, and lots of games, kids toys and games, camping and outdoors gear, a full-size canoe, useful home repair and garage hardware and lots more!

Funds raised at the annual event support many facets of the Humane Society’s mission.

The Lassen Humane Society was formed in 1964 by a handful of dedicated volunteers who engaged in the challenge of advocacy for Lassen County animals. Since then, much progress has been made, but challenges remain and the efforts continue.

LHS sometimes receives funding from grants but more consistent funding comes from annual fundraisers, memberships and donations. The group receives no federal, state or local funding. All monies raised or received go right back into our Lassen County communities.

You can find out more about the Lassen Humane Society by calling 1.530.257.4555 or by visiting them online at www.lassenhumanesociety.org.
