The annual IGA Hometown Kidfest takes place tomorrow morning, August 7th, in the grocery store’s parking lot at Main and Grand in Susanville. Kids of all ages are invited to come take part in the event which features a carnival of games, activities, food, strolling characters and is also a fundraiser for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America.

Joining in the fun will be the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile, Smokey Bear, Dandy the Smokeless Dragon and for the first time this year the Planters Peanutmobile and Frosted Flakes mascot Tony the Tiger.

LMUD will be at the 2015 Hometown Kids Fest with their interactive solar energy display.

The celebration is so big that not only will the IGA parking lot be filled, but the party will extend down Main Street into Wheels West’s dealership next door.

All of this is free thanks to the nice folks at Susanville Supermarket IGA and a host of sponsors and organizations that contribute each year.

The party starts at 10:00a.m. and ends at 2:00.
