The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Northeast California and Western Nevada.
The National Weather Service is warning area residents to expect another round of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and this evening. Lightning will continue well into Tuesday morning.
Wind gusts from the stronger storms are expected to reach up to 50mph which may create areas of blowing dust across deserts and highway 395 between Susanville and Reno.
Heavy rainfall and small hail are also possible with this storm system. Hikers, Campers and those in the back-country should be prepared to seek shelter from the storms.
