The National Weather Service in Reno has upgraded the Fire Weather Watch to a red flag warning for gusty winds and low humidity.
Winds are expected out of the southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40mph.
Extremely low humidity, 8 to 15 percent with poor overnight recoveries, has prompted the Red Flag Warning.
The combination of gusty winds and low humidity will create critical fire weather conditions.
