The National Weather Service in Reno has upgraded the Fire Weather Watch to a red flag warning for gusty winds and low humidity.
Winds are expected out of the southwest 15 to 30 mph with gusts 35 to 45 mph.
Extremely low humidity, 5 to 15 percent, has prompted the Red Flag Warning. Overnight recoveries will be poor especially south of Interstate 80.
The combination of gusty winds and low humidity will create critical fire weather conditions.
