
Relive the magic of glass slippers, enchanted pumpkins, and show-stopping choreography as J&J Performing Arts brings its 2026 spring recital, Cinderella, to the big screen at the Sierra Theatre on Saturday, September 12th.
Hosted by the Susanville Performing Arts Center, this special one-time premiere gives dancers, families and community members the opportunity to experience the entire June production in a classic movie theater setting.
The afternoon kicks off with the main show at 2:00p.m., featuring dancers ages six and older along with advanced soloists performing high-energy routines packed with flips, kicks and elegant choreography. Audiences will see standout performances from local leads, including Kaylee Micone as Cinderella, Bailee Avila delivering dramatic flair as the Evil Stepmother, Kyannah Johnson as the magical Fairy Godmother, and appearances by the hilarious stepsisters and Cinderellaās loyal companion mice, Gus and Ralfie.
Following a brief intermission at 4:00p.m., the mini show will begin at 4:10, showcasing the studioās youngest performersāages eighteen months to seven yearsāalongside advanced classes and soloists before concluding at approximately 5:30p.m. The production highlights the full breadth of the studio’s curriculum, spanning everything from lively hip-hop to precise pointe work.
Tickets are $6.00 per person at the Sierra Theatre in uptown Susanville. Seating is limited, so community members are encouraged to arrive early, grab some popcorn and support local youth in the performing arts.
