General Statement of Responsibilities:
Assist the Security Manager with establishing operational procedures for activities such as fire prevention and fire fighting, traffic control and patrolling property; orienting and monitoring of personnel involved with classified information; and investigation of accidents and criminal acts. Maintain a working knowledge of laws pertaining to gaming and safety, as well as procedures pertaining to gaming and related activities. Confers with representatives of management to formulate policies, determine needs for programs, and coordinate programs with casino activities. Confer with representatives of local governments to ensure cooperation and coordination of casino activities with law enforcement and firefighting agencies. Directs activities of workers involved in industrial safety programs and maintains OSHA standards. Posting safety and emergency notices as they are required by government regulations and keeping them up to date. Organize disaster crew strategies. Marking all organizational property to prevent loss or theft and maintain a secure and updated list of such property in the event of a disaster, for insurance purposes. Train and set standards for security officer. Monitor all aspects of security, safety procedures, and emergency manuals; recommend changes in those manuals to the management. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and hiring officers and other employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining officers; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Perform other duties as assigned.

Specific Areas of Responsibilities:
•Directs personnel in establishing, promoting and maintaining the casino’s security and
property protection programs.
•Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
•Must be age 21.
•High School graduate or equivalent.
•Written and oral communications are required in the primary language used in the work area.
•Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a two year college or six months to one year related experience.
•Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintaining instructions, and procedure manuals.
•Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
•Ability to speak before groups of customers or employees.
•Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
•Minimum of 1 year security experience preferred.
•Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
•Must qualify for a Gaming License.
•Must be able and willing to work any schedule, holidays, and weekends.
Physical Qualifications:
Must be physically fit. Requires standing, walking, bending and lifting up to 30 pounds.
Preference Policy:
Preference will be given to qualified Susanville Indian Rancheria Tribal Members. Indian preference is granted in accordance with P.L. 93-638.
