Janesville Union Elementary School: Bus Driver
The Janesville Union Elementary School District announces the following classified part-time
positions for the 2025/26 school year:
POSITION: Bus Driver
SCHOOL SITE:
Janesville Union Elementary School
SALARY:
Appropriate placement on the Classified Salary Schedule (Range: $22.34 to $24. I 6 dependent upon experience). PERS Retirement. I I month employee plus paid holidays and paid vacation.
Upon completion of successful training and six (6) months of driving a bus for the District as a substitute or employee, (regular route driver) the District wiU pay a one-time $7S0 stipend as compensation for completion of the training program.
Upon completion of successful training and twelve (12) months of driving a
bus for the District as an employee, (regular route driver), the District 1”iU
pay a one-time $1,500 stipend to the bus driver.
HOURS:
4 hours per day. 20 hours per week
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess a valid California Class B Driver’s license with a passenger endorsement. School Bus Driver’s Certificate; valid Medical Certificate Form DL 5 I-A; and Red cross First Aid/CPR Certificate or comparable. Knowledge of local roadways and special driving problems and techniques caused by frequent inclement weather; safe driving practices;
California Motor Vehicle Code.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person and/or on the telephone; sitting or standing for extended periods of time; dexterity of hands and fingers; kneeling, bending at the waist and reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally; climbing, walking over rough or uneven surfaces; moderate stress level.
