Johnstonville Elementary School District: Cafeteria Helper

The Johnstonville Elementary School District is accepting applications for the following position:

POSITION: Cafeteria Helper
SALARY: $17.38-$18.80 per hour DOE
ASSIGNMENT: 4 hours per day, 5 days per week (Monday through Friday)

ANTICIPATED DUTIES:
Under the direction of the Head of Food Service, assist in all aspects of the kitchen as well as provide nutritious and attractive meals in a clean, healthy environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
2. Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions
3. Ability to safely lift and carry 25 pounds
4. Ability to stand for extended periods of time on hard flooring
5. Ability to reach in all directions and push/pull carts of food
6. Previous experience working in a school cafeteria environment preferred
7. Maintain appropriate dress and grooming appearance
8. Ability to communicate so that others can clearly understand
9. Demonstrated ability to work with adults and children in a positive manner
