INSTRUCTIONAL AIDE AND AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM STAFF MEMBER
1 Position For the 2025-2026 School Year
TITLE: Combined Positions of Instructional Aide AND Afterschool Program Staff Member
WORK DAY: 5 Hours per Day
SALARY: $17.45 to $18.88 per Hour Depending Upon Experience
DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the Superintendent/Principal and teachers, employee during the regular school day will provide instructional support and assistance to students.
Either before school or after the dismissal of the regular school day, employee will be responsible for supervising, organizing, and leading educationally enriching activities for a group of as many as 30 students.
QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications the Superintendent/Principal may find appropriate and acceptable, including:
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Possession of a High School Diploma and passage of the CODESP Test, 48 semester units of college credit, or A.A. Degree.
- Basic instructional methods and techniques.
- Classroom procedures and appropriate student conduct.
- Operation of standard office and classroom equipment, including a computer.
- Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.
- First aid and CPR procedures.
ABILITY TO: - Design and implement age appropriate afterschool program activities.
- Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Observe health and safety regulations.
- Maintain routine records.
- Monitor, observe, and redirect as needed student behavior.
- Learn and explain school rules, policies, and regulations. • Maintain consistent, punctual, and regular attendance.
