Lassen County Office of Education: Instructional Coordinator, Adult Education
QUALIFICATIONS:
- California Teaching Credential based on a bachelor’s degree.
- Presentation skills, narrative writing, and record keeping.
- Knowledge of community resources.
- Experience working with underprivileged, undereducated, disadvantaged, and minority
adults. - Experience in a literacy or adult education program and case management experience
preferred. - Ability to carry out duties without close supervision.
- Proficiency in organization, planning, and have the ability to work both independently
and as part of a team. - Such alternatives as the County Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and
acceptable.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for the overall coordination of adult classes and tutoring services offered for
adult students as a part of Lassen County Office of Education’s Adult Education
program as a part of the Lassen-Modoc Adult Education Consortium.
2. Facilitates elementary and secondary basic skill coursework, including classes required
for a high school diploma and CTE offerings.
3. Implements programs for immigrants eligible for educational services in citizenship,
English as a Second Language and workforce preparation.
HOURS/SALARY:
$78,489 – 80,844 placement determined by the Superintendent, based on education and experience. 190 days per school year. Medical, dental, and vision benefits for employee and family. Cap in place.
